New Meeting Outlook Toolbar to be Released

We are getting ready to release a new tool that will make it even easier to start a meeting. Our Meeting Outlook Toolbar will contain your conference call information and be available to incorporate in a meeting you schedule in Outlook, the world's most popular e-mail program. After you download the toolbar and register your conferencing information you are ready to go! Simply click on the Meeting button, schedule your meeting and invite your participants like any other Outlook meeting. The Toolbar is due to be released this weekend. You will find the Toolbar download link when you log into your conferencing Hub on the left side of your home page.

USF Charge decreased to 14.9% - The Universal Service Fund (USF) fee that we collect, like all conference call service companies, changes on a quarterly basis based on guidance from the FCC. The amount charged for the second quarter of 2011 will be 14.9% which is down from the 15.5% which was being charged in the first quarter 2011. You can read more about the USF by going to the agency site which administrates the fund, the Universal Service Administrative Company. www.usac.org

UUT to be charged for California customers - A number of municipalities in California are requiring all conference call companies to collect the Utilities Users' Tax. The tax rate for customers in the affected areas is 9% and will be collected on your monthly bill. This tax will be collected beginning immediately. That way your International Participants can dial a number local to them and join your conference call here in the United States. We also have toll free dial in numbers in countries around the world if you want to make sure your participants don't pay any access charges to join your conference call. If you do not already have a GlobalMeet reservation in your account you will need to speak to sales to enable this feature and get you a new reservation. FAQ of the Month

Someone else in my company needs to run a conference call, can they use my information?

With Zip Conferencing you can create additional conferences in your account at no additional charge and you can also add as many additional moderators as you like in your account. That means that you can the other people in your company to your account and they will then have their own conference call information. That way you don't have to worry if you are running conference calls at the same time. The other moderators can even access their account to add or edit existing conference call information. But they can't touch your information or add users themselves. You still have full control of your account but you don't need to be stuck doing everything for your users.
