New Billing System - Work is almost complete on a new billing system here at Zip Conferencing.  The main reason we are putting the effort into a new system is you!  We want to offer more features that will enhance your conferencing experience with us.  The old system has not allowed us to offer some of these features so we are excited that work is almost complete on the platform and we can begin adding new features.  Here are some of the features coming soon.

  • Online Credit Card Updating
  • More detail on the invoices including conference title and Moderator name
  • Access to past invoices

Look for more announcements regarding the release of these features in future newsletters.


USF Charge decreased to 17.4% - The Universal Service Fund (USF) fee that we collect, like all conference call service companies, changes on a quarterly basis based on guidance from the FCC. The amount charged for the 2nd quarter of 2012 will be 17.4% which is down from the 17.9% which was being charged in the 1st quarter 2012. Did You Know?

 

You can add as many Moderators and Conference Call Reservations as you like to your account?

That's right, you can add as many users as you need to your account and every user can add as many conferences as they need to as well.  And all of the usage will be tracked and billed under the one main account.  This enables you to consolidate all of your company's conference call usage under one account and get the benefits of volume discounts in the larger Monthly Minute Plans as your usage grows.  To add a Moderator simply log into your conferencing Hub and go to Administration, then Moderators/Add Moderator.  Input the users name, phone number and email and hit save.  They will receive an email with their conference call information and log in information to access their information.  Only Administrators on the account can add Moderators but Moderators can add all the conference call reservations they need.

How do I record a conference call?

With Zip Conferencing you can easily record your conference call or just a portion of it.  As Moderator you have access to a number of Host Controls that the participants do not have access to.  Recording the call is one of them.  To record the conference call simply press *22 on your telephone after you have joined the conference call.  You are now recording the call.  To stop or pause the recording just press *22 again.  You can stop the recording at the end of the call or simply hang up.  When the call is ended the recording will also end.  You now have the option to dial in and listen to the recording, download a file or order a CD of the call.
