Web Conference Scheduling: Polling Options

Polling questions are questions that you can choose to ask of your meeting attendees during a live meeting. Polling questions can also be created during the meeting, but it is recommended that you try to create them ahead of time to avoid the distraction of creating them while the meeting is taking place.

Use the following procedure to add a polling question.

  1. From the Pre- & Post Meeting Options section on the Home page,  select the Registration & Evaluations link, then click Meeting Content, and select the Polling Questions option. The Polling Questions page opens.

  1. Click the Add New Question link located above the list of polling questions. The Add Polling Question page opens.

  1. Select one of the formats from the Question Format drop-down list. The possibilities are:

  • Free Response

  • Free Response โ€“ Multi-Line

  • Multiple Choice โ€“ Single Select

  • Multiple Choice โ€“ Multiple Select

  • True/False

  • Yes/No

  1. In the Question Text field, enter the text of the question.

  2. In the Permissions to View field, you can use the Share with All Moderators button to share your files with all PGiMeet site users on your site. If you would like to select only certain moderators to share your presentation with, use the Share with Specified Moderators option.

To give users permission to view and use the file, select the users you would like to be able to view this file by clicking their checkboxes.

! Note:

ยท  All administrators have access to your files, and you cannot change this.

  1. If you have not chosen one of the Multiple Choice question formats, you will be presented with a Save button which you will click to save the question and return to the evaluation questions list. You are done with this procedure.

If you have chosen one of the Multiple Choice formats, you will need to move to an additional screen to provide information about the multiple choice options. Continue with the next step of this procedure.

  1. Click the Next button. The Add Answer Choices section of the Add Polling Question process is shown:

  1. Enter the text of one of the answer choices for your multiple choice question in the Add Answer Choices field, and then click the Add button to the right. The text you entered is added to the table listing of answer choices.

  2. Repeat the previous step until all answer choices for this multiple choice question have been added.

! Note:

    • If you make a mistake, or would like to edit the list of answer choices, individual answer choices can be removed from the list by selecting them and clicking the Remove button.

  1. Once you have added all of the answer choices, click the Save button to save the question and return to the evaluation questions list.
