Depending on the settings of your Web browser, or on the settings of add-ons to your browser, you may experience difficulty in reaching Web Conferencing because your system configuration is preventing pop-up windows from opening. Web Conferencing opens as a new window launched from the Join Conference page, and, as such, is treated like a pop-up window.

It is recommended that you disable this feature, commonly referred to as a pop-up blocker. You may have the option of disabling the feature for this occurrence, or for all pop-ups delivered from the Web Conferencing site. Since Web Conferencing launches in this manner every time you join a meeting, it is recommended that you disable the pop-up blocker for all pop-ups delivered from this site.

In some instances, depending on the pop-up blocker that you use, this option will not be available to you. If that is the case, it is recommended that you completely disable the pop-up blocker during a meeting. You can turn it back on after the meeting has ended.

If a pop-up blocker is causing trouble with your Web Conference, you may see the following page:

 Pop-up Blocker instructions page

This page provides options for you to join the meeting as well as links to generic instructions for disabling a pop-up blocker. You may need to consult the instructions provided with your pop-up blocker for more specific information.
