Our Audio Conference calling allows the Host to meet with up to 300 guests at anytime.
If you plan on having more than 20 people on your conference call we recommend that you make some changes to the conference options that will make for a successful call. The first thing you should do is change the conference call to having the Music on Hold for participants. This means that participants will be listening to music until the moderator joins the call. Otherwise your participants can talk to each other and that many people can get disorganized and loud prior to the conference call.
Another option that can add noise to the call is the entry and exit tones for the conference call. This conference call option plays a tone into the conference call when a participants joins the confernce call or exits. All participants on the confernece call will hear these tones so when you have large number of participants it can be distracting. Silent entry and exit for participants is recommended.
The next option we would recommend for your conference call is to mute all participants while you are doing your presentaion. No matter how well behaved your audience is during the conference call it is likely that someone is going to make some noise that will enter the conference call.
Zip Conferencing allows you to change these and other options through the online account management system. You simply go to the conference call you want to change and click on Advanced Options>Conference Options and select Music on Hold and Silent Entry and Silent Exit and Save the changes. Muting all participants is done by the moderator after you join the conference call by hitting the *96 command through your telephone keypad. and when you need to UnMute all participants to open it up for a Q&A session simply hit the *97 command on your telephone.
