Press *21 to activate the sub-conferencing feature. This feature allows you to host up to nine additional sub-conferences within the main conference. These sub-conferences can be used as "break-out rooms" from the main conference.
! Note:
· Unlike many of the moderator-only star meeting controls, the Activate Sub-Conferencing command can only be performed from the telephone. There is no equivalent command within the Netspoke live conference interface. Additionally, sub-conferences occurring in the audio portion of a Web and audio conference are not reflected in any way in the Web portion of the conference.
Once a sub-conference has been activated, moderators and participants are able to move from one sub-conference to another, or back to the main conference. The moderator has the ability to end the sub-conferences and move all participants back to the main conference at any time. When all participants are returned to the main conference, the sub-conferences can be terminated.
When you activate a sub-conference, you will need to tell conference participants which room(s) they need to join. To enter a sub-conference, press # and then press the number of the room (1-9) you would like to enter. When you activate a sub-conference, participants will hear an announcement of this, and will be provided instructions for entering a sub-conference.
J Tip:
· Even though participants will hear instructions on how to enter a sub-conference, you will still need to tell them which sub-conference number to use.
To rejoin the main conference, press ## at any time. Participants can perform this same action.
To deactivate sub-conferencing and return all of the participants back to the main conference, press #0.
! Note:
· Muting all lines (*96) from the main conference will mute all lines in the main conference and any sub-conferences; however, participants will not hear the mute-all announcement. It is recommended that you bring participants back into the main conference before pressing *96.
