USF Charge reduced to 12.9% - The Universal Service Fund (USF) fee that we collect, like all conference call service companies, changes on a quarterly basis based on guidance from the FCC. The amount charged for the fourth quarter of 2010 will be 12.9% which is down from the 13.6% which was being charged in the third quarter 2010. Additional Capacity Available - You can now have as many as 300 participants on a single conference call! In case you have a need for a large conference we now have the capacity to host a conference call with as many as 300 participants. To assist you when you are getting ready for a call of this size it is best to speak to a sales representative to make sure the call is configured for success. Just call 866-704-2451 and press 1 to discuss your needs prior to your event.
Did You Know?
During a LIVE conference call you can VIEW all of your participants and control the conference call through your PC?
Log into you conferencing hub.
In the MEET box, click on START under Audio Meeting.
Once on the Start Audio Meeting page, Click the START button.
Note: You may receive a message asking: “Do you want to run this application?” Click: RUN
You will then see your participant screen with all your participants that are connected to the conference.
*When a participant joins the conference, their line will show as ‘Dial In Participant and their phone number’. Example: Dial In Participant 212-718-2211.
You can highlight that line and type in the person’s name.
The host control panel gives you the ability to:
Increase/ Decrease the individual callers volume.
Mute/ Unmute the individual callers line.
Disconnect individual callers.
Move individuals into a private sub conference, then back to the main conference.
The host can Mute all callers at one time.
Lock the entire conference so no other callers can join.
End the conference.
There is no additional fee to utilize this wonderful tool.
This works along with any of your current reservationless conference calls, so no scheduling needed.
FAQ of the Month
Can I change the rate plan I am on after I sign up?
With Zip Conferencing there are no contracts and you can change the rate plan you are on at any time. So if you anticipate doing more conference calls in the future why not upgrade to a new plan and save money using the same service you are using today. None of your account information changes. And should your needs change in the future you can downgrade again at a later time. Any of the Monthly Minute Plans or the Pay As You Go plan are eligible. The new rate plan will be effective with the start of the next billing cycle.
